Pedestrian-friendly surface/Smooth:
DD3 is suitable for applications where pedestrians can be found or a working platform is required.The bottom side of DD3 is smooth – making this version ideal for placement on sensitive stone surfaces or asphalt. No cleats on the underside helps protect the surface underneath from scarring – especially when supporting heavy loads..
Use DD3 for parking areas, construction site walkways, concerts, and other uses where people are expected to walk on the DuraDeck regularly and where the sub-surface would be better served with a smooth underside. Use the DD3 to protect concrete, asphalt, stone or other rigid or aggregate surfaces, where any pattern may be too aggressive and could potentially cause damage. The pedestrian friendly design may be placed face down on such surfaces as clay tennis courts, poured polyurethane gym floors, and other less forgiving surfaces. Once down, the pedestrian friendly top surface allows for safe transit of pedestrians and equipment.
Standard DD3 mats are 4ft x 8ft long (other sizes available) and is available in black or white. Sections are ½” thick at the core, not including tread pattern height. DD3 contains 4 connection holes, one at each corner, and 4 additional connection holes (2 each at the center of the 8ft side). These allow panels to be connected in either direction and to be rotated at 90 degree angles as required.
